Valentine's Day Cocktail - Shake the LOVE

Because whether or not you're celebrating Valentine's Day, one thing's for sure, February 14th is a great day for a cocktail party.

INGREDIENTS
For the cocktail

• 50ml gin
• 20ml Amaro Montenegro
• 20ml of Aperol
• 20ml lemon juice
• 20ml grenadine
• 1 egg white
• freshly ground cinnamon (for garnish)
• For the homemade grenadine
• 1/2 cup pomegranate juice
• 1/2 cup fine baker's sugar
• 25ml pomegranate molasses

INSTRUCTIONS

For grenadine
Add the pomegranate juice, sugar and pomegranate molasses to a small saucepan over very low heat.

Stir continuously until sugar dissolves, remove immediately from heat and let cool. Set aside.

For the cocktail
Add the egg white and lemon juice to the shaker.

Add the homemade grenadine, Aperol, Amaro Montenegro and gin.

Shake (without ice) for a full 10 seconds.

Add the ice in a glass.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.

Filter the ice into the glass

Simply decorate with freshly grated cinnamon on the cocktail!
