HOW TO MAKE A HOT GIN PUNCH:
200 ml of gin
200 ml sherry
200 ml cranberry juice
6-10 orange dehydrated
The peel of a lemon
A handful of cloves
3 sticks of cinnamon
1 apple cut into a slice
1-2 star anise
A pinch of ground nutmeg
3 tablespoons of molasses (brown sugar)
Add the lemon, cinnamon, apple, star anise, nutmeg and molasses to a saucepan with cranberry juice and heat, slowly, for about 20 minutes, allowing all the flavours to infuse. Once it is close to boiling, lower the pan to its lowest heat and add the sherry. Leave to cook for a further 10 minutes, then add the gin. Keep on the heat for another 3-5 minutes, then serve, being careful not to pour too much fruit and spices into the glass (although the apple is simmering deliciously now, so make sure it's eaten!).
